SWIMMING, ENTERTAINING & HABITAT

This property has evolved through three stages, beginning with the transformation of an old stock dam into a swimming hole and water garden. Fed by a natural spring, the space brings together swimming, entertaining, a Japanese wood-fired bath and habitat for frogs and dragonflies, creating different experiences throughout the year.

BIODIVERSITY REVOLVES AROUND WATER

Rare and threatened plants, along with showy native flowering species, were reintroduced throughout the wetland, bringing colour and seasonal interest while creating a natural transition from the water garden through the upper gardens and up the slope towards the house.

A SPECIAL SPOT TO SWIM, RELAX AND LISTEN TO THE CHORUS OF FROGS

Considered interventions, such as stone steps across the water, a large jetty and a pebble beach, transform the dam into an interactive space; a place for connection, play and everyday enjoyment.
