HARDY & LOCAL INDIGENOUS PLANTS
The clients wanted to enhance their beautiful property in rural Victoria, creating useable areas for the family, introducing new garden space, and redirecting water runoff into an existing creek to revitalise the local waterway and increase habitat.
By reintroducing hardy and local indigenous plants to the garden, the garden thrives despite enduring winter frosts, heavy rainfall, strong winds and summer droughts.
SPACE FOR THE FAMILY
A garden falls away from the house, featuring native flowering plants, shrubs and groundcovers. The firepit and hot tub areas offer places to relax, while pathways meander through the garden beds.
CONNECTING WATERWAYS
The dry creek bed and dam have become extensions of the garden, and now connect back to an existing creek, helping to strengthen habitat as well as support local insect, amphibian and aquatic species.
A PLACE TO SLOW DOWN
A deck overlooking the dam offers a place to relax and enjoy the gentle sounds of insects and frogs.
